What's new in Must Read 3.5.2
A library card you can carry, a reading session that can hold a goal, and a way to bring a friend along that leaves you both with more room on the shelf.
The Must Read Card, in Apple Wallet
Every library you ever joined gave you a card. Now yours does too. Add the Must Read Card to Apple Wallet from your Profile and your reading travels with you: on the front, how many books you are tracking and how many you have finished. Turn it over for what you are reading right now, what your taste reads like, and your member number.
It keeps itself up to date. Finish a book on the sofa and the card in your pocket has already changed, without you opening anything.
Give your session a goal
Reading sessions can now carry a goal: fifteen minutes, thirty, sixty, or a length you choose yourself. You can change it halfway through without losing the session.
Once it is running, you can follow it counting down on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and on your Apple Watch, so you never have to open the app to see where you are. And a goal never cuts you off. Reach it and the timer says so, then carries on counting for as long as you keep reading.
Invite a friend, both read more
Invite a friend and you both track five more books, permanently and for free. Send them your link from Profile, and on iOS 27 they can scan the code on your card instead. When someone gives you a code, redeem it in the same place and your shelf grows straight away.
If a friend you invited goes on to subscribe, we give you a month of Pro on us. If you already subscribe it is banked for your next renewal, and if you own Lifetime you already have everything it unlocks.
And everything else
A watch that keeps up
A complication could go on showing a book you had already finished. It no longer does.
One timer, every screen
The Lock Screen, the Dynamic Island and your wrist now always agree on the same session.
Your language, properly spoken
A pass across all 40 localisations so the app addresses you the way your language really does.
Dozens of smaller fixes
Refinements throughout, the sort you only notice by not noticing them.
