Professor Douėlʹ and his assistant, Dr. Kern, are working to solve the problems of life support for separated body parts. Dr. Kern kills Douėlʹ and keeps the head alive to get information to continue the experimentation. Dr. Kern's new assistant discovers what happened and is shocked. To keep her from exposing him, Kern has her falsely imprisioned in an asylum while he continues the experiments by transplanting the head of a young woman to a new body...
