This is the first edition of Contraception Handbook which provides a summary for the different contraception methods, and for utilizing the methods better to meet human needs. The book includes combined oral contraceptive pill; the Progestin-only pills; the systemic hormonal contraception by non-oral routes; postcoital contraception; intrauterine contraceptive devices; male and female barrier contraceptive methods; natural family planning; and sterilization methods. The book discusses the clinical effectiveness, advantages, disadvantages, side effects, and mechanisms of action of different methods of contraception.
