Orphan Purvis Grimwither thinks he's alone in the world, left to rot in the McMythicar Institute, a place parents send their children to forget about them. When his friends start disappearing, Purvis decides to take matters into his own hands. He discovers a prophecy that reveals his true identity: "You will know my kin by this test. Find my grandchild. Find my blood. Let it run upon the stones, let it run upon the shore, and let me live again." Will Purvis live to tell the tale?
