Fifty years after the Holocaust and thirty years after Vatican Council II, an increasing number of Christians are beginning to read the New Testament in light of Jewish culture that witnessed the birth of Christ. No author has been bold enough until now to integrate the Gospel, in a systematic way, with the logic that, nevertheless, helped to produce it: the oral Torah.
