Pieces of the Past: The Story of Ed and Gulfa Tindle

Written by their great-granddaughter, this book is a record of the family history of Ed and Gulfa Tindle. The TIndle's story is not an exceptional one. There is nothing really noteworthy or significant about their accomplishments. Growing up, they were limited in their opportunities for education and later in their opportunities for employment. They lived through two world wars and the Great Depression. They were simple, hard-working people who, with very little means, managed to raise eight daughters through very tough times, an era that has been nearly forgotten by our modern society. Their story is, however, significant as it is a story of grit and perseverance and of finding abundance in love of family no matter how meager their station in life.I felt compelled to tell their story before it fades from memory completely.My first goal with the writing of their story was to record the many stories and insights into their personalities that were related to me by Granny herself, their children and grandchildren. Secondly, I did extensive research of public records that still remain so I could substantiate some of the information I had been given and finally, I added beautiful old photos that I have gathered from a number of sources over the years that really brought it all to life.
