My name is Tai'Nyah Kidd, I am thirteen and I live in Pittsburgh Pa. At the age of nine I lost the most important person in my life, my mother. My mother was murdered Feb 28, 2013 and she left behind six children including myself. The day I lost my mother was the day I lost the one person I admired most. I've struggled and dealt with a lot but my family and mentors have helped me realize I still have the power to overcome anything. I wrote this book, not only to help my siblings but also to encourage any child who may have lost a parent.
