Dogman of Illinois

Ari thinks life can't get worse. He doesn't know how wrong he is. He's just divorced his abusive wife and is working a scam job, the only employment he can find in this troubled economy. Little does he know, across town, another man named Vic is going through the same thing, but not handling it as well. In fact, he's casting a spell to change himself into a werewolf, or at least he thinks that's what he'll become. Because Vic won't use his power for good–to only kill animals and serious criminals–the Native American skinwalker who helped him with the spell makes sure he turns into a dogman instead, basically a werewolf with a dog's head that's unaffected by the full moon and silver, but can be harmed by a sword or bullets. Yet the killings escalate anyway, for Vic's decided to make his town pay for his bad luck with the divorce and the scam job. Yes, Vic works with Ari. And when a bombshell gets hired, the two men compete for her love–or, in Vic's case, lust. But Ari's got bigger problems. When he finds out Vic is the creature murdering the townspeople that the news has been talking about, he must find a way to stop him, or he and the girl are next, along with the whole town. Because if Vic isn't stopped, the dogman Legion will branch out to kill the world.
