Renowned artist and writer Dave Campbell was born in Saugerties, NY, where the Catskill Mountains almost reach the banks of the Hudson River. In those days, there was no suburban sprawl eating up the countryside, and he could roam for miles through open woods and friendly farms, often fishing and often bringing home visual memories to capture on paper or canvas.
