The Road with No Name

Evie Marie Jenkins is a troubled young woman struggling with compounding grief, and inner conflict while trying to find a way to heal and move on after the death of her family. When her mother dies suddenly, a chain reaction of events leads her down a self-destructive path. She finds herself placed in a Youth Reform Medical Facility where she believes healing awaits. Instead, she faces tyranny, betrayal, and a desperate need to escape to avoid punishment for a crime she did not commit.

While inside the facility, she befriends an unlikely group of misfit girls, as they plan and execute a daring escape together. Their plan was simple: get out, separate, and move on with their individual lives. However, they take an unplanned detour when they venture down the road with no name, leading them to the doorstep of an unassuming older couple.
First, just needing a place to stay for a few days, the girls befriend them, but in doing so, they receive more than just a place to crash. An unexpected connection forms: causing Evie to question traditional family dynamics.

Her growth is further put to the test by the awaiting turmoil she faces when returning home. She begins to look for answers about her mother's suspicious death, and the dealings of the place that once held them both captive.

The book's core is about finding hope and an inner spirituality, by ways of exploring non-traditional relationships. Exploring the idea of uncovering solace in unexpected places while understanding everyone has a purpose and chance to alter the life path of another. It examines the notion that lives can become intertwined and that the relationships created can restore, nourish, and heal.
