Tales from Hallowed Hollow: The Greatest Gift of All

This book is one of Marg Watt’s delightful children’s story books in her ‘Tales form Hallowed Hollow’ series. This story will offer children of all ages, and many adults, enjoyable reading as they join the many cute and cuddly creatures in Hallow Hollow and Saxby Wood. Where they all live different lives in different ways, but are all content in this peaceful place of love. This book contains several beautiful full colour illustrations created by Jenny Finn, one of Australia’s premier children’s themes artists. ‘The Greatest Gift of All’- tells of when the most unlikely ever of friendships is formed between a young badger, Cass, and the aging fox, Quern, runs up against the strong disapproval of all the other badgers in the area of Hallowed Hollow and Saxby wood. However, it later sees the fox becoming the hero of the hour, and shows those that disapprove that you should never judge a book by its cover, or in this instance, a fox by its birthright. This tale delivers a powerful and valuable lesson of life, in that none of us should ever turn away from, or pre-judge others just because the fail to meet with our own, sometimes foolish pre-conceived expectations of how they should look and act.
