Gary Forbes is a former professional basketball player who has played across the globe. Over his twelve-year career, he's played in the National Basketball Association (NBA), as well as leagues in China, Israel, Italy, Vietnam, and many more. Gary played at the highest level while battling type 1 diabetes. His determination and strong will allowed him to achieve his lifelong dream: to become an NBA basketball player. Now, Gary has taken his talents to the world of authors with the creation of SOLE SURVIVORS. This series aims to inspire, educate, and provide awareness of the daily health challenges children and many other people across the world face with chronic health conditions. Gary's intent is to instill the perseverance and mental guidance to live a healthy lifestyle against all odds and to communicate that diagnoses are not barriers to success, but springboards.
