Product Description
My Friends is an interactive children's journal. It is in a series with 5 other journals. This newly designed series stimulates children to write their own stories from start to finish, and also to illustrate the book themselves, with the use of photographs or hand-drawn pictorials. The stimulation occurs through the use of clues - a few words, along with 1 or 2 small illustrations to start their creative juices flowing and assist them with possible topics. When they are finished, not only have they achieved the creation of their own book in a professional looking format, but they will undoubtedly save it for future reminiscing.
From the Author
Bev and myself feel that these six journals fill a distinct void in what is currently available for children and have not found anything comparable on the market. They are intended to give children the opportunity to create their own personal journals, describing their individual and unique experiences. We, as adults, are keenly aware of how much fun we derive from looking back on old scrapbooks, pictures, diaries, etc., that we compiled in our earlier years. These journals in particular, are similar to projects now done in the schools, with this formal providing a keepsake housed in a much more colourful and durable booklet. The binding was specifically chosen to allow the book to lay flat while writing in it.
