My Animals a Loving Recollection Recognising the Importance of Animals in Our Lives

I was sitting out under the shady tree in my yard enjoying a cup of coffee and as I watched our two old retired racehorses grazing nearby and I began to think about all the animals that I have personally owned, loved and cared for.When I returned indoors I sat down and made out a list and was absolutely amazed when after adding them up, there was approximately 176. Of course this includes several litters of puppies that were purposely bred and sold and the many litters of Bunny Rabbits that were certainly not planned for and litters of kittens that were in my care for only a short time, chooks and their many chickens, ducklings, budgerigars, parrots, canaries and finches - they are all a part of my animal treasury. I decided to write a book and dedicate it in loving memory of them for their loyalty and unconditional love that they so freely gave and also for, oft times, giving me a reason to get up in the mornings.
