Magdalene Odundo Tri-part-it-us : Three Installations in Glass

Magdalene Odundo OBE is recognised as one of Britain's leading artists working in the medium of ceramics. Over the last three years she has taken a secondment from her normal practice to focus on creating new work in glass. This work culminated in an exhibition at National Glass Centre from Autumn 2014 to Spring 2015. Tri-part-it-us presented three installations, Metamorphosis and Transformations created in the USA, Transition I created in the USA and at National Glass Centre and the major installation Transition II created at National Glass Centre with production support from international partners.The creation and realisation of Tri-part-it-us is recorded in this publication containing a highly insightful essay by Martina Margetts, Senior Tutor in Historical & Critical Studies, Royal College of Art.Published on the occasion of the exhibition Magdalene Odundo: Tri-part-it-us at National Glass Centre, Sunderland, October 2014 - March 2015.
